Anjunelly JP's Success Story!

  1. Tell us a little bit about yourself (are you a mom, dad, work full time, student, busy life, where do you live, etc.)
  • My name is Anjunelly Jean-Pierre I am a Full time mother of two teens Brianna 15 and Elijah 16, we live in Northern Va.
    1. Tell us, which 22 Days Vegan Challenge program did you follow?
    • I followed the Greenprint Diet
    1. How did you hear about us?
    • June Ambrose
    1. Why did you choose to try a 22 Days Vegan Challenge?
    • I have been following June Ambrose for a few years now on social media. When June lost her mother she was also gearing up for On The Run Tour with Jay-z and Beyoncé and deicided to go vegan. As I followed her Instagram story she documented her journey to being vegan. At first I thought it was another diet fad that celebrities are pushing. But when kept me interested in her stories was what she was eating. As the months went by I saw her transform. What really sold me was a picture she posted without makeup. Her skin was glowing, no dark circles, no puffy face.  Now at this time I was at the tipping point of almost being 200lbs on my 5’3 frame. I carried it well but I knew something had to give. I was working out 3 times a week but nothing was happening. In Jan 2019 My gym started a transformation challenge and I picked The Green Print and it changed my life.
    1. Tell us a little bit about your average day now that you’re following a plant-based diet. (What do you eat on a typical day? Any exercise routines?)
    • I have a membership to Orange Theory and I work out anywhere 4-5 days a week.
    1. How has following The Greenprint impacted your life?
    • I am more aware of what I am eating; I was reading labels before but now I am paying more attention to the ingredients
    1. How much weight have you lost? What other health improvements have you seen? (for example: clearer skin, reduction in pain, lower blood pressure, etc.)
    • Since changing my diet I have lost 13lbs. Since removing dairy and such, I have notice I can breathe better, my posture is straight, I am sleeping better at night. TMI but your digestion system is very different and better. Less headaches, and no more inflammation in my face, legs and hands.  Working out is much easier I do not get tired midway through a workout.
    1. What words of encouragement do you have for others who are getting started or are considering a 22 Days Vegan Challenge?
    • My advice for anyone wanting to get started read through the challenge first, start reducing the amount of diary and non-healthy food you eat and eventually stop eating it. Start with just one meal a day that is vegan. Do not be hard on yourself if you fall off for day. It’s ok, tomorrow is another day you can start over.
    1. Anything else you’d like to share?
    • This new lifestyle has been rewarding. My children have kept me going and even help me look for products that are vegan.
